Kindergarten Celebrations & More!

Kindergarten Concert

Thank you Parents for contributing photos!

Shade Structures
Mr. Musselman hosted a Save the Popsicle challenge! He asked our students to design a structure that would help save a Popsicle from melting in the hot sun. The students were broken up into groups and had to work together to brainstorm, design, and build a structure. Unfortunately the day was not as hot or sunny, so we will be testing our structures next week on a sunnier day!

Burlington Public Library's Summer Reading Program
Ms. Amanda from the Burlington Public Library talked to students about the summer reading program offered at the Burlington Public Library. A handout went home this afternoon with more information and how to sign up. It's a great opportunity to continue reading over the summer and have fun!

Spring Book Fair
On Monday June 5th, our class will be visiting the spring book fair. This is during our regularly scheduled library time. We ask that you review the flyer with your child and create a list of book(s) you would like your child to buy. Purchasing books is completely optional. If your child is going to make a purchase, please send in a list of books you'd like your child to buy and money in an envelope labeled with their name. Please don't forget the tax! If you need more information about our visit please let me know.

This will be one of our last visits to the library. If you have not already returned your child's book, please return it ASAP. We will NOT borrow any new books this year.

Field Day
Next Friday, June 9th (weather permitting!!) Fox Hill will be hosting their annual Field Day. Kindergarten is invited to join the festivities. We will be outside playing games together all morning.  It's a fun and active day for the students. SNEAKERS are a must! To keep hydrated we ask that you pack an extra drink or water bottle for your child to have. This is especially important if the weather is warm.  We will be outside for a long period of time and it is recommended to apply sunscreen before school. If your child needs to reapply their sunscreen before we head outside we ask that you pack a "spray" sunscreen. These are the only sunscreens teachers can help apply on your child. Lotions and creams cannot be applied by teachers.  We look forward to a great day!!
