Field Day!

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 2nd is Field Day!!
Here are a few reminders as we prepare for this fun day:

  • Please have your child wear a green t-shirt and sneakers.

  • Please be sure your child brings a water bottle to school.

  • Please apply sunscreen at home.

  • Make sure your child is wearing weather appropriate clothing (they do not need to wear a bathing suit)!

The children will be outside playing cooperative games for the majority of the morning. We will have a regular lunch and afternoon.

Thank you for your support in making one of the most fun days of the year a success!

Look "Whooo's"Working Together!

Friendship Bench
Mrs. Johnson held a school-wide assembly to introduce the Friendship Bench. The bench is already outside on the playground ready to be used.  If your child finds themselves without a friend to play with at recess; they can sit on the bench and await a friend to ask them to play. Ask your child for more information!

Position Hide & Seek
Students of Room 5 took turns hiding an object in the classroom.  Then they had to verbally relay positional directions to their partner to find the object. Check out some photos!

Animal Research
To prepare for our trip to the zoo we are learning about animals and their habitats.
Our students love to research to find out more about animals.
We even labeled the parts of the animals too.
Check it out!

Book Buddies!
Our second grade friends came to visit on Friday. We were excited to share our very own Butterfly Research Books.
