Meet Room 5's Authors and Illustrators:
Room 5 should be very proud of their hard work! Each student has completed their own personal narrative about our Halloween celebrations. To celebrate, students got a chance to read their story aloud with the microphone and sit in the "comfy" author's chair!! We had a great audience eager to hear their classmate's writing and share their illustrations.

Fundations:
Our two new letters this week were:

e-Ed- /e/ and r- rat- /r/
We have learned 11 consonants and all 5 vowels!
All 16 letters and sounds have helped us in our reading and writing.

Math:
-We wrapped up Topic 4 this week. It has been focused on comparing amounts of objects. As well as looking at 1 and 2 more and 1 and 2 fewer.
-When we come back from Thanksgiving we will look at numbers 11-20.
-Keep practicing numbers 1-10. We will continue to reinforce the formation of these letters.
-Next week we will work in small groups to do some fun turkey math activities!

Reminder...
Next week is a "short" week. Monday and Tuesday will follow a regular schedule. Wednesday is an early release day, which means students will be dismissed
between 11:35 and 11:45.
