Is it lion or lamb weather?

Some people say March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.
Ask your child about  "lion" and "lamb" weather. 
This weekend is sure to bring some interesting weather!



Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Room 5 had a visit from a leprechaun!  


All of us were SO surprised =)

Leprechauns are very messy...

We tried to retrace his steps....Some believe he left through the back door!!

Fortunately for us...the Leprechaun left us some Gold Coins and Shamrocks.

He even wrote us a note...

Spring Conferences
Sign-ups for spring conferences went home this week. In-person conferences are being finalized. Families who preferred a phone conference were sent an emails this week. Please email me back your choices of times as soon as possible. 
Next week conference confirmations will go home with your child. 
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.

Sight Words

Kindergarten students are responsible for knowing 50 sight words by the end of kindergarten. We have learned 25 words thus far, which means we are at the half-way mark. Students will be assessed to see how well they can read these 25 words next week. These assessments will be sent home to parents to get an idea of which words to continue practicing and those they have mastered.  

Due to the short week next week, we will NOT send home a Tic-Tac-Toe Board, but do ask that you review and practice all of the sight words we've learned thus far.
